TEA Certified Speech Therapists Not Approved for SHARS Reimbursement

TEA wants to remind school districts that as of October 1, 2022 TEA certified speech therapists will no longer be an approved speech therapy provider for SHARS reimbursements.  Originally this information was published in the Proposed Policies Changes document released in July 2022 by HHSC.  Keep in mind that being eligible to bill for SHARS reimbursements is different than being an eligible provider for the service in public schools.
