Significant SHARS Policy Changes
Issued by the Health and Human Services Commissions on August 13, 2021, the SHARS Medicaid program will undergo changes that will impact all service areas, along with interim reporting and Cost Report requirements. The ONWARD team is working to put together documentation of these changes. HHSC and TMHP will be issuing a new School Health and Related Services (SHARS) Handbook created for the Texas Medicaid Provider Procedures Manual.
